I'm Rena Klingenberg, author of "Squidoo Traffic Power".
I'm an online publisher, as you most likely are (my main niche is "jewelry business").
I'm not a guru, but I've had some exciting successes with Squidoo!
In November 2006, I made a few Squidoo lenses for some of the information websites I own - and then made an effort to update them slightly once every couple of weeks or so.
Once I had built my first lens, each subsequent lens took me an hour or so to create, got indexed in Google quickly, and started sending traffic to my sites within a few days.
Each of my sites that had a lens focused on it began to receive about 10 to 12 hits every day from its respective Squidoo lens.
Although that wasn't exactly an exciting success, the results were enough to make me decide to try taking Squidoo to another level.
I decided to experiment by creating this lens:
www.squidoo.com/jewelrydisplays/
that focuses on one narrow aspect of my niche and feeds traffic into two of my sites (let's call them Site A and Site B).
It took me about an hour to create this lens on a Monday afternoon, and by Tuesday both Site A and Site B were already receiving traffic from it.
By Friday - four days after I created the lens – Site A had received a total of 76 hits from this lens!
Then it Got Even Better . . .
Seven days after I created this lens, Site A had already received a total of 136 hits from it.
That's almost 20 hits a day - during the first seven days after I spent one hour creating a single lens.
Two weeks after I created this lens, it had sent a total of 458 hits to Site A, and 164 hits to Site B.
That's 32 hits and 11 hits per day, respectively – from just one hour of work.
. . . and Better . . .
As time passes, this lens becomes more and more powerful.
Now this one lens routinely sends as many as 90 hits a day to Site A, and about 10 to 20 hits per day to Site B.
That's free, targeted traffic from a
single lens
that took me one hour to create.
